Admission Guidelines for Under Graduate Courses 2017-1

Regarding Direct Admissions for Under Graduate Courses

For B.A. / B.Sc. / B.S.W. courses – Direct Admissions will be made after the registration.
Direct Admissions for B.Com. / B.B.A. / B.C.A. courses will be made after the registration on the following qualifications:

B.Com.

1. Only Commerce students are eligible.
2. Boys who have scored 75% and above and Girls who have secured 80% and above in PUC or +2 are eligible for direct admission (i.e., they can have the interview immediately after registration of application.
3. Those who have 80% marks in the qualifying examinations may apply for B.Com. (Professional).

B.B.A.

1. Commerce and Science students are eligible.
2. Applicants who have scored 70% and above in PUC or +2 are eligible for direct admission.
3. Those who have 70% may apply for B.B.A. (Professional)

B.C.A.

1. Only Science or Commerce students with Mathematics/Statistics/Business Mathematics/Computer Science as one of the subject are eligible.
2. Applicants who have scored 55% and above in PUC or +2 are eligible for direct admission.
Information Regarding Registration and Interview

A photo copy of S.S.L.C. and Internet copy of the P.U.C. Marks Card or a certified copy of the Marks Card by the Principal of P.U. College where the Applicant studied last is necessary for the registration.

List of selected Applicants will be displayed on the College Notice Board. Out station Applicants will be informed through Telephone. The Applicant and at least one of the parents must be present for the interview with the Principal. Outstation students must have a Local Guardian.

N.R.I. and CBSE / ISE students who have scored above 70% in their pre-board examinations may register their applications with a copy of their pre-board examinations marks card. They should not enter these marks in the application form. A photo copy of 10th Standard marks card should be enclosed.

ADMISSIONS – HOW TO APPLY?

1.Buy an Application Form with Prospectus at Counter 3 in Room 112.
2.Fill up all the items in the application. If help is required, kindly consult the INFORMATION DESK.
3.Meet the Admission Counsellors in Room 103.
4.After verification, register the application at the Counter in Room 102.
5.A list of provisionally selected candidates will be displayed on the Notice board everyday. Only selected outstation candidates may be notified by a telephone call. The candidate and at least one of the parents must be present for the interview with the Principal.
6.Meet the Vice-Principals / Admission Counsellors.
7.Direct Admissions: As per the instructions of the Vice-Principals / Admission Counsellors, you may meet the Principal.
8.After the interview with the Principal, collect the Bank Challan at Counter No.9, in Room 111, for payment of fees.
9.Pay the fees at the Central Bank of India Counter in the Maffei Block.

THE PRINCIPAL / MANAGEMENT HAS NOT APPOINTED ANY AGENTS OR BROKERS FOR ADMISSIONS.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES FOR U.G. COURSES – 2017-18

1.Application forms are available in the College Office on payment of Rs.250, from 17-4-2017.

2.Application from the College Office will be sent by post if a stamped self-addressed envelop is sent along with a D.D. for Rs.300, in favour of “Principal, St Aloysius College”, Post Box 720, Mangaluru – 575 003, Karnataka, India.

3.Applications may also be downloaded from the website: www.staloysius.edu.in Downloaded applications should be sent along with a D.D. for Rs.300, in favour of “Principal, St Aloysius College”, Post Box 720, Mangaluru – 575 003, Karnataka, India.

4.Application should be filled in, complete with regard to all the information asked for, in the candidate’s own handwriting.

5.The application should be registered in the College Office soon after the declaration of second PUC results of Karnataka Board and a acknowledgement should be obtained. The registration fee is Rs.50. Applications sent through post for registration will be registered if a D.D./Postal Order for an amount of Rs.50, is enclosed.

6.Admission process will begin within a day or two once the Karnataka PUC results are announced. NRI students, students from other Boards or from other States, with 65% marks in core subjects in their pre-board examinations may register their application soon after the Karnataka PUC results are announced even if they do not have their final examination results.

7.Photo copy of 10th marks card and Provisional Marks card or an internet copy of +2 result sheet is sufficient to register the application.

8.A list of provisionally selected candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board or informed through Telephone. Candidates who do not attend the interview on the specified day are liable to loose the seat.

9.The candidate and at least one of the parents must be present for the interview with the Principal.

10.Admitted candidates should pay the full fees within 4 hours after the interview, else the admission stands cancelled. Admission cancelled if, after paying the fees, the candidate does not attend classes for four consecutive days.

11.Out station students must have a Local Guardian.

12.Hostel facility for boys and girls are available separately. Allotment of hostel seat will be done only after the provisional admission of the candidate to the college is over. However, you may inform the Hostel Director of your requirement in advance.

Eligibility: A candidate for B.C.A. Degree Course shall have passed the Pre-University Examination or equivalent 12 Standard Examination of any other Board, having studied Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science, as one of the subjects of study with a minimum of 40% in core subjects.

5.B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science)

Eligibility: A candidate for B.Sc. Degree Course shall have passed the Pre-University Examination with any combination or equivalent 12 Standard Examination of any other Board having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects to take the optionals 1 to 7 and 16 & Chemistry, Botany and Zoology or Biology to take optionals 8 to 15.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES FOR P.G. COURSES – 2017-18

1. Application forms are available in the College Office on payment of Rs.500, from 2-5-2017.

2. Application from the College Office will be sent by post if an additional amount of Rs.50 is paid. Amount may be sent through a D.D. for Rs.550, in favour of “Principal, St Aloysius College”, Post Box 720, Mangaluru – 575 003, Karnataka, India.

3. Applications may also be downloaded from the website: www.staloysius.edu.in Downloaded applications should be sent along with a D.D. for Rs.550, in favour of “Principal, St Aloysius College”, Post Box 720, Mangaluru – 575 003, Karnataka, India.

5. The application could be registered in the College Office after 15th May, 2017. Registration of the application is a must to write admission test. Applications can be registered by post also. Website downloaded applications should be sent along with a DD for Rs. 550 in favour of “Principal, St Aloysius College”, payable in Mangalore, to Principal, St Aloysius College, Post Box 720, Mangaluru – 575 003, Karnataka, India.

6. In case the marks card of the qualifying examination is not available at the time of registration of application, one may still register the application and marks may be filled in when they are available.

7. Application Test dates, if any, will be announced on 2nd May, 2017, on the day of availability of the application forms.
